October 31 Is Officially A Dark Day For Xbox Game Pass

Movies

As another month rolls by, Xbox is once again updating the Game Pass library. With one hand they giveth and with the other they taketh away. These coming days might be Game Pass subscribers’ last chance to play and complete nine amazing titles before Oct 31, 2026. Not all games are made equally though, and some may be worth your time more than others. Before the spooky season truly kicks into gear, take a last chance to experience some of the following games on Xbox Game Pass before they’re gone.

Nine games leaving the subscription service sounds a little harsh, but Xbox Game Pass is replacing them with just as many new additions. That said, there are some gems leaving the library so you might want to jump in and try them out before they are gone. It’s a mix of genres that caters for point-and-click adventurers, survival horror fans and even co-op FPS aficionados. The announcement was made via the official Xbox news page.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris characters

Check out the list below to see what games are leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month:

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Dead Static Drive (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Deep Rock Galactic (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Full Throttle Remastered (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Grim Fandango Remastered (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Wartales (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Wildgate (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Fans of whacky point-and-click adventures are being hit the hardest, with classics like Full Throttle Remastered, Grim Fandango Remastered and Day of the Tentacle Remastered all leaving Game Pass on October 31, 2026. All three are absolute bangers and, for those with little to no experience playing point-and-click adventure then Full Throttle Remastered is the perfect jumping on point. It has simplistic logical puzzles, a brilliant story and doesn’t take more than a long afternoon to complete.

Looking for more of a time sync, then Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a gargantuan Lego masterpiece. Whether playing alone or with a friend, you’ll get to experience the entire 9-film-long Star Wars extravaganza. The game is crammed with content, humor and fan references that make it a must-play for any fans of Star Wars or indeed Lego. One of the strongest installments from Tt Games Studios with around 80–90 hours of gameplay for the completionists among us. You gotta get every stud!

If none of those tickle your pickle, then perhaps Wartales is up your alley. A medieval open world RPG with strategic combat where you lead a group of mercenaries into battle. Wartales gives players the chance to explore, recruit and dominate in battle. It’s a little rough around the edges, but anyone who is a fan of Xcom-style combat in a medieval setting should really check this game out before it’s gone for good from Xbox Game Pass.

With early November being crammed with new games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and a little-known indie title called Grand Theft Auto 6, now is the time to get through your back catalog. A last chance to play some of these bangers on Xbox Game Pass before the end of the month is a great way to spend some time before November hits. Check them out today before they’re gone for good.
