Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has ended her marriage to Kody Brown, even gaining a spiritual release. She has since met her new boyfriend, Pete, but in the latest episode, she lamented the “burden” of being married to a “pretty boy” like Kody. Janelle Brown Struggled With One Kody Obsession
One time, Janelle Brown stated that she and Kody Brown never had problems being physical. It was more than viewers needed to hear, and many did not believe her. He only seemed to want to be intimate with his fourth and now only wife, Robyn. Yet, Janelle shared that she loved it when Kody would don his ponytail and found him very attractive. They did have six children, but this was a polygamous family, and that was what was expected of them. After almost thirty years together, she left him and their lifestyle.
Janelle was single for almost four years, and she was content with focusing on herself. Now, ready to find her person, she is spilling the tea on life with Kody. In the latest Sister Wives episode, Janelle Brown made it clear that being married to the former polygamist was somewhat of a nightmare. However, it appears that she may have been able to stick it out had their kids not been a factor:
“I think the biggest thing for me started when [Kody] really started to be hard on my children. Wanting them to conform to his opinion, wanting them to act a certain way. That’s when all of a sudden I’m like, ‘OK, I don’t know if I can do this anymore.’ It was a burden to stay married.”
It was not just his behavior toward their children that was a struggle. Janelle Brown addressed her ex-husband’s appearance. She noted that Kody Brown has “always kind of obsessed with looking good,” but Janelle preferred someone who was kind.
Finding Happiness
Janelle Brown has since given in to finding love and has met a man named Pete. He is kind, warm, and down-to-earth, at least according to the Sister Wives star. She wanted the polar opposite of Kody Brown, and it appears that this is what she found. However, in order to get there, viewers will have to watch her take the steps. Janelle meets with a matchmaker, and then she and Pete begin their long-distance romance. Fans love seeing her so happy and cannot wait for all of this to unfold:
