The View hosts don’t always get along on camera. Viewers have spotted a brewing feud between Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro. But things usually calm down once the cameras stop filming. Some of the hosts even hang out when they’re not working.
Sara Haines returned to The View in 2020 after a brief absence to host GMA‘s third hour alongside Michael Strahan and Keke Palmer. Alyssa Farah Griffin joined the ABC daytime show in 2022 after leaving President Trump’s first administration. Sara and Alyssa became close friends. So why did Sara kick her co-host in the head?
The two were trying to imitate a difficult Dancing With The Stars move that went viral. Dylan Efron and his pro partner Daniella Karagach went viral last year for their gravity-defying “air walk,” which spawned countless re-enactments on social media. Season 35 contestant Amber Glenn and her partner Pasha Pashkov gave us this season’s viral moment.
Balancing on one leg, the Olympian extended her other leg and leaned forward as her partner held her arms for balance. Pasha later shared a video of all the times Amber Glenn accidentally kicked him during practice. They nailed it on the live show, though.
But when Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to recreate the moment, it ended with a swift kick to the face.

Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines recorded their attempt at the difficult move. It started off strong, with Alyssa holding Sara by the arms as she leaned forward and began extending one leg backward.
But the further Sara leaned, the closer her foot got to her co-host’s face. She eventually kicked Alyssa in the face, causing Alyssa to let go and both of them tumbling to the ground.
After Joy Behar’s devastating fall that’s kept her off The View, Sara Haines assured fans “no co-host was harmed in the making” in the video’s caption.
Fans had a lot to say about the attempt to recreate the viral dance move, including a lot of advice.
