Fackham Hall Trailer Breaks Bleecker Street Record with 7.3 Million Views

The trailer for Fackham Hall, a new British period satirical comedy starring Harry Potter alum Tom Felton, has officially broken distributor Bleecker Street’s records. The film is directed by Jim O’Hanlon and co-written by comedian Jimmy Carr, Patrick Carr, Andrew Dawson, Steve Dawson, and Tim Inman.

The Fackham Hall trailer received 7.3 million views in its first 24 hours, making it Bleecker Street’s most viewed trailer ever. Fackham Hall stars Felton, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘s Katherine Waterston, The Witcher’s Ben Radcliffe, Thomasin McKenzie, Emma Laird, and Damien Lewis.

Fackham Hall is described as a satire that combines Downton Abbey with Airplane! and Monty Python. Set in 1930s England, the film will follow a porter, Eric (Radcliffe), who lands a job at Fackham Hall, an English manor, and quickly develops a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (McKenzie), until a murder mystery strikes and Eric finds himself as the prime suspect. Felton will portray Archibald, Eric’s dubious rival for Rose’s hand in marriage.

With its tagline “Born for aristocracy. Bred for idiocy,” the film lets period elegance collide with comedic chaos. This juxtaposition might be the very reason the trailer resonated so quickly and hit record views in an era where mid-budget comedies more often struggle to gain traction.
