Jax Taylor Admits To Being An Addict
Jax Taylor has done some serious work on himself within the last year. He went to rehab and got sober. Jax admitted that he was a cocaine addict. However, anytime he would drink, he would want cocaine. The two went hand in hand with each other for Jax. So, he knew if he wanted to quit one, he had to quit both. Jax was in rehab, and he recently hit 100 days sober. This is something fans never thought they would see from Jax. However, he is owning up to it and all his past mistakes. Jax Taylor may finally be growing up. Fans cannot wait to see more of this journey in Season 2 of The Valley.
He Reveals He Would ‘Die’ If He Was Still The ‘Alpha Male’
Jax Taylor has admitted that he would die if he were still the alpha male in the group.
“I’ve always been the lead singer of the band. I’m taking a backseat. I’ve become the guy who plays the triangle. It’s hard because I’m so used to being Jax Taylor, this alpha male, but that guy doesn’t exist anymore. He can’t, or he is going to die.”
Jax knew that if he kept up the same tendencies, he would fall back into a bad habit. So, he realizes that he cannot be in control of everything all the time. He is trying to take a step back and let more people shine. Brittany Cartwright decided to divorce Jax Taylor. This is something that led up to his sobriety. He wants to be better for himself, but more importantly, for his son, Cruz.
It seems as though Jax does not think he would have survived if he continued to try and be the number one guy in the group. This is due to the fact that he had to change a lot of habits to be sober. If he continued to try and run the group, he would fall back into old tendencies and more than likely break his sobriety. This is something he does not want for himself or his son.
