Dutton Ranch is set to wrap up its first season very soon, with the Yellowstone spin-off’s season finale about to premiere. However, big news has already come out on social media. Following this, fans have been sharing their reactions on social media.

Dutton Ranch Will Finish Its Inaugural Season With ‘El Padrino’

Dutton Ranch is a spin-off and sequel of Yellowstone. Premiering on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026, the series revolves around Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton as they explore a new life in South Texas.

The show made its debut with a season of nine episodes. With new episodes premiering on Fridays, the season finale, “El Padrino,” is right around the corner, on July 3, 2026.

That said, fans have reasons to anticipate more even after the season wraps up, as the show already teased more episodes in a recent social media video. On Instagram, a post confirmed the series’ renewal for a second season, writing, “We’re just getting started. #DuttonRanch has been renewed for season 2!”

At this time, the show has had one of the biggest debuts for the platform. Recently, Jane Wiseman, head of originals for Paramount+, even spoke about the show’s popularity.

While speaking to Deadline, Wiseman shared, “Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history, and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world.”

During The Recent Post, There Was One Thing In Particular That Many Fans Shared That They Wanted To See More Of

Wiseman continued, “We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.” Ultimately, she thanked them “for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart, and authenticity.”

The first season still has one episode left to go. However, fans already have an idea of what they want for another season. Taking to the original post, many have been sharing their own ideas for the second season.

In particular, one common thread throughout much of the comments is that fans wanted the show to spend more time on two characters in particular. While many shows have fans wanting to see more from the supporting cast, it would seem Dutton Ranch doesn’t have this issue at the moment. Some comments included:

    • “Please center season 2 more on Beth and Rip instead of making them a subplot in their own show!”
    • “Everyone here wants more Beth and Rip scenes. Yes! But you have to remember that the first season, a completely new environment and people whose world and characters with backstories need to be built and brought out….so that Rip and Beth can face them in strong scenes and situations in the future..”
    • “Will Rip and Beth have more meaningful scenes in S2? Or will they still just ride horses for a couple of minutes? And turn everything else over to Beulah and the granddaughter?”
    • “Great! But please more scenes of Beth and Rip. The entire plot must revolve around them, because they are the protagonists and the reason we watch the series.”
