Thurston Made A Big Announcement At The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Event
Recently, Thurston made an appearance at an event for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. At the time, she shared a video online while on stage with her spouse, Jeff Arcuri. She shared, “I want to make my own contribution today before we get off stage. And I know it’s sometimes intimidating to see such generous amounts and think that maybe you won’t make a difference. But I do want to say that every dollar truly counts.”
Thurston also had big news to share with fans. She continued, “Today, I wanted to donate $610 to represent every day I’ve been alive since being diagnosed. So because of you, I am here. Thank you. But, also, because of you guys, I can announce for the first time today in public that I am currently no evidence of disease.”

Thurston concluded, “Thank you so much! I hope our story inspires you to see what a difference you can make and why we need money for research and we need change for breast health.”
In a caption to the post, Katie shared, “610 days since my diagnosis with #breastcancer. Day 1 of #noevidenceofdisease. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution to @bcrfcure , every dollar counts! #stageivneedsmore #metastaticbreastcancer.” In a later update, she shared, “Life update: No evidence of disease!” Jeff also shared, “I am so insanely proud of you,” complete with a heart emoji.
