As they prepare to tour North America in September, Militarie Gun have announced an expansion of God Save the Gun. Originally released last October, the LP will now come with three additional songs. One of them, “World’s Always Burning,” features Mannequin Pussy’s Marisa Dabice; check it out below. God Save the Gun (Deluxe) arrives August 7 via Loma Vista.
The band’s Ian Shelton said in a press release, “Everything in God Save the Gun became so focused on the internal, that when it came to fitting these songs in, it felt like they had stepped outside of that perspective. In my head these songs started to form into the feeling of finally coming to after being so caught up in your own head, and then realizing the rest of the world is still out there and you haven’t been actively participating.”
Completing the expansion are “3 AM” and the Dazy-featuring “I’ve Said Too Much.” Militarie Gun’s 20 Songs for 20 Dollars Tour is currently zigzagging across Europe. At the North American dates, as the tour name suggests, the Los Angeles punk band promises a 20-song set for a clean $20.
