RHONJ Alum Joe Giudice Denied Pardon, Deported
Bravo viewers first met Joe Giudice as the gruff husband of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice. He quickly revealed a soft spot for their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana. He was portrayed on the show as a blue-collar construction worker who worked his way into massive wealth.
But the reality was much darker. Joe and Teresa Giudice were indicted on multiple fraud counts in 2013. They were accused of falsifying loan applications to receive millions of dollars. They both pleaded guilty to the charges and were given prison sentences. Teresa Giudice served 11 months in prison while Joe Giudice was locked up for 41 months. He was deported in 2019 immediately upon his release. Teresa Giudice divorced him in 2020.
Joe Giudice was deported to Italy, where he was born. His family moved to the United States when he was a child. His parents became naturalized citizens, but Joe Giudice never did. He eventually moved to the Bahamas after being deported to Italy.
Gia Giudice Pleads With President Trump
Joe Giudice has made a life for himself in the Bahamas. He returned to construction work after a short-lived boxing career. The only thing missing from his life is his four daughters. He moved to the Bahamas mainly to be closer to the United States, making travel easier for his daughters. However, he’s not close enough for any of their liking.
Gia Giudice previously begged President Trump to pardon her father so he could move back to the United States. However, the President received many pardon requests, including one from P. Diddy. But Joe Giudice never received a pardon, and his daughter backed off from publicly petitioning for one after backlash.
But she never gave up trying to get a pardon for her dad. She opened up about her renewed attempts at bringing her father home. “We just filed a humanitarian packet for him, just kind of trying to do everything we can to get him pardoned and hopefully come back, or even just on visitation,” Gia Giudice told Fox 5 New York this week.
The Next Gen NYC star added, “We’re still actively working through that and trying everything we can. I mean, I think any family would want their dad home. Any daughter or child would want their father home.”
President Trump can give pardons at any time. He’s pardoned over 1,000 convicted felons during his two terms in office. His pardons included Todd and Julie Chrisley, reality stars who were convicted on similar charges as Joe and Teresa Giudice.
