Lioness Season 3 Episode 7 had me distrusting almost everyone before they even opened their mouths.
Every phone call looked suspicious, every pause felt loaded, and every new arrival had me bracing for another betrayal.
Joe survived her kidnapping, which should have offered some relief.
Bobby drove Joe home, where Neal and the girls were waiting, but Joe still couldn’t bring herself to walk inside.
She asked Bobby to keep driving and returned to work instead. I understood the choice, but I hated watching her make it.
Her kidnappers were still out there, yet her family was standing only a few feet away.
And somebody needs to confiscate Joe’s badge, hand her water, and force her to sit down for five minutes.
Who Actually Ordered Joe’s Abduction?
Babat is dead, but killing Joe’s torturer does not reveal who designed the operation. He always looked like hired muscle, not the person drawing the map.
Renat also seemed connected to something larger, which leaves one ugly question hanging over the finale.
Who wanted Joe taken?
Well, the abduction required timing, resources, access, and people capable of moving without attracting immediate attention.
That hardly looks like a random attack, especially after Kaitlyn and Errol discussed who stood to benefit from Joe’s disappearance in Lioness Season 3 Episode 7.
Their conversation eventually points toward Ukraine as one possible beneficiary.
The finale promo adds another twist, with Mullins apparently telling Byron that they missed a crucial clue.

The footage also appears to show officials examining CCTV images and passports connected to the Martyrs’ Brigades.
That’s the version I want. If Joe was used as bait, the finale should reveal who benefited from America chasing the wrong target.
Please don’t introduce some mystery mastermind during the final 20 minutes. That would feel cheap after seven episodes of suspicion.
The answer should connect to Renat, Babat, Yurimov, Oleksandra, or somebody already embedded in this machinery.
Is Oleksandra Guilty or Trapped?
Oleksandra looks suspicious, but I am nowhere near ready to convict her from my couch.
Her intelligence pushed the CIA toward Yurimov, and Lioness Season 1 Episode 7 deliberately sharpens suspicion around her.
Errol raises the possibility that Oleksandra, or Ukraine itself, benefited from the CIA targeting Yurimov.
That theory has teeth, but it also feels almost too convenient.
Oleksandra would make excellent bait for somebody trying to redirect American anger. She has access, political urgency, and enough proximity to the crisis for accusations to stick.
If she betrayed the CIA, I want a motive uglier than simple villainy.
Desperation could work, pressure could work, and loyalty to Ukraine could work. The explanation just needs to fit the woman we’ve already watched.
A sudden turn to evil would feel lazy. After three seasons, Lioness has shown that loyalty is rarely clean; it’s conditional, costly, and complicated.
Yurimov may help untangle the mess. Promo breakdowns suggest Joe and the QRF head toward Guantanamo Bay as Yurimov reenters the story.
The CIA may be using him to identify whoever sits behind the abduction. The promo also appears to show Yurimov warning Joe about America’s many enemies.
That line widens the threat beyond one country or one obvious suspect. Joe doing this work immediately after torture is completely deranged.
Most people would request morphine, silence, and several locked doors. Joe apparently prefers intelligence operations and another chance to get shot.
It is a very healthy coping mechanism.
Who Sold Joe Out?
The possible insider bothers me more than any foreign enemy.
Joe’s kidnapping appears to have required access to information about her movements.
That keeps the possibility of inside help alive, and an internal betrayal would poison everything around Joe.
She already knows hostile governments and militant groups want her dead, and that danger comes with the job.
A traitor inside her own system would hit much harder. Suddenly, every briefing would feel suspect, and every friendly face would deserve a second look.
Lioness Season 3 Episode 8 promo also teases a violent confrontation, with Joe sending her team into action as armed groups collide.
QRF members, police, and men in suits get caught in the chaos, and armed men in suits never make me feel better.
On Lioness, they usually suggest authority, money, or somebody hiding rot beneath respectable clothes.
If there is a mole, please let it be someone we already know. A stranger arriving with guilt written across his forehead would be embarrassing.
The best betrayal would force us to reconsider earlier scenes. I want to rewind the season and notice every warning I ignored.
Can Joe Ever Choose Home First?
The spy conspiracy needs answers, but Joe’s family may deliver the finale’s hardest scene. Neal and the girls were waiting for her.
Joe chose unfinished business instead. I understood why. The people behind her kidnapping were still free, and stopping probably felt impossible while they held the leverage.
That explanation does not make the scene hurt less. Neal has spent years living beside Joe’s secrets.
He gets late calls, broken promises, silence, and just enough information to know when to panic.
That is a rotten bargain for any marriage, and a quick hug before the credits won’t fix it. Joe has changed after everything she’s been through.
Neal has also changed from surviving a life he can never fully enter. The finale should give that damage room to breathe.
It can expose the insider, identify the mastermind, and settle Oleksandra’s role. It still can’t treat Joe’s family like decoration. Joe survived Babat, but she is clearly not okay.
That distinction should sting more than any final gunfight. I want names, motives, and a betrayal explained without smoke and mirrors.
I also want Joe to finally face the people waiting behind that front door. Those questions are what pull me into the finale.
If Lioness answers even half of them properly, my blood pressure may finally recover.
