Disgraced ex-gay MAGA provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos recently said that President Donald Trump faked the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt on his life.

Queer congressional Democrats largely condemned the shooting, which was carried out by the now-dead 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, a registered Republican who once gave $15 to progressive Democrats. However, the assassination attempt generated numerous conspiracy theories, with the Left blaming a “false flag operation” and “crisis actors.”

In a March 15 post on the social media network X, anti-LGBTQ+ and antisemitic right-wing influencer Sneako wrote, “If the Trump assassination attempt was actually real that [n-word] would be bringing it up every minute.”

Reposting Sneako’s post, Yiannopoulos agreed, writing, “I hate myself for thinking it but dude that s**t wasn’t real. There was no assassination attempt. It didn’t happen. I’m sorry it just didn’t.”

Their comments have reportedly sparked in-fighting amongst MAGA Republicans on X, according to the progressive news site AlterNet.

Yiannopoulos – who was ostracized from Republican circles after his comments seemingly supporting child rape – publicly renounced his homosexuality in 2021. He told anti-LGBTQ+ right-wing media influencer Tucker Carlson that homosexuality is caused by childhood trauma, that gay activists “invented” the idea of sexual orientation as a fixed identity, and that his Roman Catholicism helps him stay away from “demonic” homosexual promiscuity.

Yiannopoulos has since said that he regrets “mainstreaming homosexuality” into the Republican Party.
