Former New York City Mayor and lawyer to Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, is now saying that expanding pre-K programs will turn kids transgender.
Giuliani was attacking a new program from Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) and Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to expand the city’s pre-K program to include two-year-olds. They announced that there would be over 2000 spots for kids in the city to join the new “2-K” program, established with state funds, and that nearly three times as many families applied for those spots.

“The overwhelming demand for 2-K shows what families across the city have known for years: New Yorkers need free, universal childcare, and they need it now,” Mamdani said this past Tuesday. “That’s how government should work, and this is only the beginning. Together with Governor Hochul, we’ll keep expanding 2-K until every family that wants a seat can get one.”
Giuliani, though, accused Mamdani – who he called “an out-and-out communist” – of trying to use the program to indoctrinate children into hating their parents and turning transgender.

“And [Mamdani] wants to have free, free pre-K starting at 6 months old. Six months old,” Giuliani said on Wednesay on his podcast, America’s Mayor Live, getting the starting age of the program wrong. “What the hell is he going to teach them at 6 months old? How to hate the parents, that’s what he’s going to teach them.”
“How- hey, did you ever think of being a girl, kid? Not bad being a girl. Come on, it doesn’t hurt to chop your penis off!”
“Am I kidding or am I not kidding? Am I being a little crude to make the point? You’re damn right I am. Is it a point that needs to be made dramatically? You’re damn right it does.”
“Why are you doing that? Are you doing that so that you teach them how to read and write?” he continued. “That they, at the early age, like the young people of Greece, learn critical reasoning so they can be independent people who can make judgments on their own and not be brainwashed by your communist educational institutions and your communist media? No. You don’t do that.”
“You teach them that it’s OK to be a transvestite. In fact, you have transvestites come to school and give lectures to show them it’s perfectly OK. And if you want to change your- if you want to change your gender and you don’t want to tell your parents, perfectly- parents are the enemy,” he ranted. “I’m explaining to you Democrat philosophy that is ruining your children. This is the reason that they’re like they are.”
While the idea of schools turning kids transgender has been a major part of the anti-trans moral panic in the US over the past several years, that is not how being transgender works. Teachers cannot turn students trans any more than they can turn them gay.
