The 2023 Emmy Awards have been postponed due to the ongoing actors’ and writers’ strikes, The New York Times and Variety report. The ceremony was originally slated for September 18, and does not currently have a rescheduled date. In their report, The New York Times cited “a person briefed on the plans,” who said that the awards show will likely be moved to January, and that the new date will be finalized within a few weeks.

Last night (July 27), Variety published an exclusive report that the the 75th annual Emmy Awards will not occur on September 18. The postponement marks the first time the Emmys have been pushed back since 2001, shortly after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Tim Robinson got two nods, one as an actor in I Think You Should Leave and one as an executive producer of the Netflix show. Daisy Jones & the Six received nine nominations, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and Outstanding Music Supervision.

Other music-related nominees included Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Moonage Daydream, Donald Glover’s Swarm, Kid Cudi’s Netflix show, Entergalactic, and more.
