Original Chris Redfield actor Charlie Kraslavsky is suddenly a busy guy with Resident Evil tributes. Not only is he currently involved in Andrew Saullo‘s Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary (which launches its kickstarter next month), as well as filmmaker Shaun Meyer‘s film noir webseries CARRIER: A Raccoon City Story, but he’s now involved with Invader Studios’ upcoming Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle. Charlie took to Twitter yesterday to reveal that he’s doing a little cameo in the prequel to 2019’s Daymare: 1998.

Speaking from his home city of Tokyo, Charlie revealed that for the first time in 27 years, he was going to make the leap back into video games. “Thanks to the team at Invader Studios, I’m going to be in Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, the much-anticipated prequel to Daymare: 1998,” announced Charlie. “Thank you so much to Michele [Giannone, Creative Director at Invader Studios] and the whole team at Invader. I’m very proud to be in your video game, and I look forward to seeing you again soon!”

In case you needed a refresher, Charlie got back into the world of Resident Evil last year when Andrew Saullo tracked him down, alongside original RE cast members Greg Smith and Eric Pirius. You can check out their series of videos thanks to the folks at Residence of Evil.

Developed by Italian team Invader Studios and published by Leonardo Interactive, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is the prequel to Daymare: 1998, which was originally a fan-led project to remake Resident Evil 2 (before Capcom decided to do it themselves). Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle cast players as special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle will launch August 30 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One. And as Charlie said, go check out the demo on Steam right now.
