Pharrell Williams Reveals Something in the Water 2023 Lineup: Grace Jones, Clipse, Jazmine Sullivan, and More

Mumford & Sons, Yendry, Wu-Tang Clan, Flo Milli, Kehlani, Ayra Starr, and others will also perform at the Virginia Beach festival

Pharrell Williams’ music festival, Something in the Water, returns to Virginia Beach in April, running from the 28th to the 30th. Today, he’s revealed the 2023 lineup: Grace Jones, Clipse, Jazmine Sullivan, Mumford & Sons, Yendry, Wu-Tang Clan, Flo Milli, Kehlani, Ayra Starr, and more will perform, as will an act billed as Pharrell’s Phriends. See the full lineup in the poster below.

The first Something in the Water took place in Virginia Beach in 2019. For its 2022 edition, the event moved to Washington, D.C., after Williams criticized his hometown’s government over its handling of the shooting death of his 25-year-old cousin, Donovon Lynch. The city of Virginia Beach recently reached a $3 million settlement with Lynch’s family.

In a change from past editions, Something in the Water also now has a presenting sponsor, Walmart. “We’re excited to team up with Something in the Water, returning to a special place to Walmart, Virginia’s Hampton Roads, to help celebrate and empower this community we’re so proud to be a part of,” Cedric Clark, executive vice president of store operations for Walmart U.S., said in a statement.
