Things Between Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz Are Apparently “Serious”

Pop Culture

One year into their relationship, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are apparently very into each other.

A source confided to People that the couple “are very happy. Their careers are a big focus and they share this passion. When they are off, they are very low-key. They enjoy quiet date nights with friends but most often just hang out at home.” The insider added that “Channing is serious about Zoë. It’s not a casual relationship. They have been exclusive for a long time.”

Over the weekend, the typically very private pair were photographed kissing aboard a yacht while on vacation in Positano, Italy with Tatum’s nine-year-old daughter, Everly, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan. A second source told the outlet, “They were in Europe and not expecting the world to see them, although that is kind of naive. The romantic relationship is quite intense and positive for both of them. It is serious, but I don’t see them going public in a big way unless something forces it.” They added, “Channing has a blast with Everly and enjoys life as a dad. Zoë sees the depth of character and a hidden maturity, a person who thinks quite a bit. She is impressed with all of that. They have enormous respect for each other above and beyond the romantic attraction.”

Tatum and Kravitz first sparked dating rumors back in January 2021, just days after she filed for divorce from her husband of 18 months and partner of five years, Karl Glusman. Since then, they’ve been spotted out together numerous times, including riding tandem on a BMX bike and buying groceries in upstate New York. And although they walked the red carpet at the 2021 Met Gala separately, the pair were photographed leaving the event together. Tatum previously dated pop star Jessie J on and off for two years before they finally decided to end things for good in October 2020. And prior to that, he was married to Dewan for ten years before they finalized their divorce in November 2019.

Tatum also stars in Kravitz’s directorial debut, Pussy Island, due out next year. In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, Kravitz opened up about her experience working with him, explaining, “When you make things with people it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself. I’m really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way.” The actress added that even long before they worked together, she always knew there was something special about the Magic Mike star. “I felt, even from afar, before I knew him, that he was a feminist and that he wasn’t afraid of exploring that darkness, because he knows he’s not that,” Kravitz said. “That’s why I was drawn to him and I wanted to meet with him. And I was right.”
