Certainly, these grand dames knew a thing or two about making an entrance. But their modern-day counterparts are equally exciting. America’s sweetheart Julia Roberts wowed in vintage Valentino when she won best actress for Erin Brockovich, and more recently, Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her minimalist side with a white, caped Tom Ford.
