Jonathan Van Ness has opened up about his relationship with Mark Peacock after the pair quietly married in 2020.

Taking to Instagram Saturday afternoon (2 January), the Queer Eye star shared adorable photographs of them together, his “favourite moments” of last year, he said.

They ranged from re-enacting Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” to ringing out the new year with pals and what appeared to be snapshots of their secret wedding ceremony together.

Dressed in white suits, the pair gazed lovingly into one another’s eyes while stood outside – Van Ness shared another photograph of them in similar outfits when he first revealed they got hitched.

“We went on a date in London,” Van Ness began in an Instagram post caption, “which turned into more dates whilst I was on comedy tour.

“At the end of that time I was taking my mum, aunt and friends on a mini-break to Amsterdam. I wanted to come with but, was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple weeks worth’s of dates to come meet my mom and friends on a mini-break?

“Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same 🥰

“Here’s some of my favourite moments together and here’s to making many more 🏳️‍🌈 Thanks so much for your support and love for us!! Love y’all!!”

Jonathan Van Ness married his ‘best friend’ in the summer of 2020 and kept it quiet for months

It comes after Van Ness casually dropped Friday (31 December) that he and Peacock had gotten hitched in the summer of 2020.

“Surprise!” he wrote on Twitter. “We got married in the backyard of a house we rented over the summer with a socially distanced judge and a photographer. Our parents watched over FaceTime.

“Love my Mark and we’re so happy to share this news. Happy New Year!”

Peacock, who was born in London before moving to the US, wrote in his own social media post: “2020 brought on more changes than I’ve ever been a part of before.

“I left London and moved across the Atlantic, got dressed up for numerous seriously hilarious zoom quizzes, re-discovered a love for gardening, learned to drive on the left, got married to my soulmate and one true love Jonathan Van Ness and adopted a little Jack Russell called Pablo and entered a family with four amazing cats.”
