Eaux Claires’ “For Wisconsin” get-out-the-vote initiative has been steadily sharing new performances from indie rock musicians. The latest comes from Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Big Red Machine. Their cover of Aimee Mann’s song “Wise Up” features assistance from the National’s Bryce Dessner, Bryan Devendorf, and Scott Devendorf, plus Ben Lanz, Jon Lowe, and Mina Tindle. Listen to it below.

“We recorded this cover of ‘Wise Up,’ one of my very favorite Aimee Mann songs, for beautiful Wisconsin,” Aaron Dessner wrote. “Her lyrics keep coming into my brain these days. The stakes couldn’t be any higher in this election and it may come down to a handful of votes. Text 56005 to VOTE. Thanks so much to Ben, Bryan, Bryce, Mina, Jon, Scott and Justin for joining me.”

For Wisconsin’s video series has included a Bon Iver song called “Your Honor” in tribute to the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Feist covering Cat Stevens, an Arcade Fire performance, and a new Big Red Machine song.
