Michael J. Fox Also Made A Public Appearance In Spite Of The Recent Report
Fox is an actor known for a variety of roles. This includes the sitcoms Family Ties and Spin City, the film Teen Wolf, and the Back to the Future series. As a voice actor, he is also known for his work in the Stuart Little films and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
In 1998, Fox had disclosed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991. Since then, he has become an advocate for finding a cure, founding The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000.
As noted by TMZ, CNN recently shared an article and video titled “Remembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox.” At the time, no reports of the actor’s death were previously shared.
However, Fox made a surprise appearance at PaleyFest LA on Tuesday to join the wrap party for the comedy series Shrinking‘s third season. This took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Fox, who guest stars in the season, was joined by crew and cast members, including Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, and Michael Urie.
Many Fans Took To Social Media To Express Their Relief That Fox Was Alright
Speaking with the outlet, a representative for the actor confirmed that Fox was alive, even taking note of his recent appearance at the Dolby Theatre. As they shared in a statement, “Michael is doing great. He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and was giving interviews.”
As the outlet noted, CNN had also removed its original post. A representative for CNN later spoke with TMZ, noting, “The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.”
With the reports turning out to be untrue, many of Fox’s fans took to social media to express their relief. Many also praised Fox for his PaleyFest appearance. Some comments included:
