If you’ve been eagerly scouring the internet for updates on Criminal Minds, then there’s a good chance the latest updates about the veteran drama will be right up your street.
Paramount+ on Tuesday revealed that Criminal Minds Season 19 will get underway on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
While it’s still a few months away, the streaming platform is getting the ball rolling for plenty of programming once broadcast TV wraps up for the summer.

Of course, Criminal Minds ran for 15 seasons on broadcast TV, so with the pickings becoming slim this summer, the hope is that more people will switch to streaming and watch along.
It’s nice to have a streaming show that rolls out weekly in this climate, particularly in the summer, when shows are few and far between.
Criminal Minds Season 19 has also unveiled a stacked guest roster.
Connor Storrie (Heated Rivalry), Justin Kirk (Angels in America), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Paul F. Tompkins (Bojack Horseman), Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar), Lyndon Smith (Step Sisters), and Richard Cabral (Mayans) are on the cast.

Also on board are Jeri Ryan (Star Trek universe), Rob Yang (The Menu), Nicholas Gonzalez (The Good Doctor), Inny Clemons (Judging Amy), Nicole Pacent (Westworld), Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Joseph Cross (Big Little Lies), and Cara Jade Myers (Killers of the Flower Moon).
Returning series regulars include Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, and RJ Hatanaka, with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster.
Criminal Minds Will Reach a Major Milestone
Storrie has been propelled to worldwide stardom, thanks to the success of Heated Rivalry, so it will be fun to see what he brings to the table.

That was some teaser, right?
In addition to the premiere date and trailer for Criminal Minds Season 19, Paramount+ has handed out a very early renewal for Criminal Minds Season 20.
The decision was a no-brainer, but with Paramount+ under new leadership and a plan in place to curb costs, there was always that possibility the show could end abruptly.
Thankfully, Criminal Minds will reach Season 20. From a marketing standpoint alone, that will be exciting.

It also opens the door for some comebacks from cast members who are no longer associated with the show.
Over to you, Criminal Minds Fanatics! What are your thoughts on the premiere date, teaser, and renewal news? Have you followed the series on Paramount+?
