In addition to mocking mask wearing and downplaying the virus, in March he had his own “just inject bleach” moment when he said Brazilians could jump in raw sewage and “never catch anything.” The following month, responding to questions from reporters about the pandemic, he said: “So what? I’m sorry, but what do you want me to do?”
