Tori Spelling Says “First Love” Brian Austin Green Is the Last Person Who Broke Her Heart

The end of a long-term relationship tends to dredge up a lot of feelings about the past, both good and bad. Tori Spelling, who is in the process of divorcing Dean McDermott, her husband of 18 years, reminisced on her podcast Monday about another long-ago love: her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green.

On an episode of her podcast misSPELLING, titled “Misbehaviors,” Spelling chatted with friend and fellow 90210 alum Shannen Doherty. The longtime pals dug into the archives and talked about Green, whom Spelling still considers a close friend. The two were love interests on the long-running soap and in real life. Spelling said that she cheated on the first man she slept with, whose name was Ryan, with Green.

“That was the first guy I was with, and he was great, and to be honest, I cheated on him with Brian,” she said. “We broke up because I fell head over heels in love with Brian Green.”

“I always say, Brian with a B was the first love of my life. But I was young and I was caught up in it.”

Doherty also admitted that she’d hooked up with Green back in the day, but only a kiss because “it was super awkward.”

“There was no fireworks because we were so close and we had known each other since we were little kids, essentially,” she said when revealing that the two had, in her words, “shared Brian saliva.” “I love Brian, he’s one of my favorite humans, but there was no spark.”

Spelling shared that Green is still a friend and that she loves his fiancée Sharna Burgess, “but if he says something to me, I get so flustered and riled up, and it takes me right back to being my, like, 18-year-old self and being like, ‘oh my.’”

While Spelling said McDermott “always made me feel like I was beautiful and talented,” in the final seconds of the episode, she dropped a bombshell about Green, with whom she said she feels like “brother and sister.” She said that she and Green had a heart-to-heart conversation about the end of her marriage.

“I was saying, like, ‘no, I was in love. I don’t know, maybe I wasn’t in love. I’m not sure. No one’s broken in my heart since you,’” Spelling said. “And there was like pause, pause, and I was like, ‘oh my god, this is the first time I’ve said this to him in 30 years.’”
