Toronto police have taped off the area surrounding the home of rap superstar Drake after a shooting in the Bridle Path neighbourhood left a man injured.

Police did not immediately say if the shooting, which happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday near Post Road and Park Lane Circle – not far from Bayview and Lawrence avenues, involved the property or anyone on it.

A man was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition, police said.

Investigators said a suspect fled the area, but no suspect description was provided.

Police said they will be releasing more information about the shooting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at a press conference with Insp. Paul Krawczyk with the Gungs and Gangs task force.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
