Naomi Campbell is a legend, an icon, and, per her Instagram bio, a “privacy law pioneer.” Now to that long list she can add mamá. The model posted a photo of her hand cupping wee feet on Tuesday and wrote in the caption: “a beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.”
“So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel,” she added. “There is no greater love.”
Her post drew thousands of well-wishers in the comments, including friend Marc Jacobs via the account @themarcjacobs, writing “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day??” The thing about secret babies are that they’re never a secret to everyone. Other under-the-radar births this past calendar year include Mindy Kaling, Emma Stone, and Constance Wu.
The pandemic baby boom turned out to be more of a bust, at least in the U.S., so it’s nice to have high-profile miracle babies to really direct some excess cooing to.
