Kate Middleton Urges Podcast Listeners to Get Some Fresh Air

Pop Culture

Kate Middleton, future queen consort of the United Kingdom, has an inexpensive suggestion for physical and mental betterment: go outside.

Appearing on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, the Duchess of Cambridge and mother of three stressed the importance of “simple things” in parenting.

“Life now is so busy, so distracting and actually sometimes the simple things like watching a fire on a really rainy day provides such enjoyment,” she said to host Giovanna Fletcher.

Taking a walk, she continued, “totally strips away all the complications, all the pressures.”

The perambulating Princess also gushed about a prized photo of her middle child examining a flower. “I’ve got this one photo of Charlotte smelling a bluebell, and really for me it’s moments like that that mean so much to me as a parent.”

Kate also discussed her practice of hypnobirthing as a respite from the severe morning sickness she experienced while pregnant. Additionally, she confessed to falling victim to “mum guilt.”

“Yes absolutely,” she said when Fletcher asked about the elusively defined condition. “And anyone who doesn’t as a mother is actually lying.”
