A homophobe was so furious over a Pride flag and Joe Biden sign that he phoned the Las Vegas tea shop that had them on display and threaten to blow it up.

The anonymous man phoned MILK+T, a boba tea shop run by queer women Beyah Delmundo and Stacey Kwong, on Thursday (October 29).

The phone call was answered by the manager of the tea shop’s Las Vegas branch, Caroline Sadorra, who said that while the Pride flag is a permanent fixture, the Biden / Harris sign was left over from a campaign event held at the store by Democratic congresswoman Susie Lee.

In a recording posted on social media, the man can be heard shouting: “I’m wondering why a f**king company would have a f**king faggot sign outside your store.

“You have a candidate that’s running for the new world order. What’s wrong with you?”

When the store manager tried to politely end the call, he yelled: “Go f**k yourself, losers!”

The man then called back five minutes later to declare that the tea shop had an “anti-American owner”, and vow that he would “blow up” the store, before hanging up.

Delmundo said she was planning to file a police report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Monday morning, according to KSNV.

She added that she had considered taking the Biden sign down after the call, but said: “Right now is not the time to be silent and to be shy about what you stand for.”

MILK+T wrote on Facebook: “Hate and bigotry will not be tolerated. Expressing your political beliefs is an American right, but disrespecting another for their belief crosses the line.

“This man felt the need to call us and threaten us twice without us doing anything to him, other than simply displaying our beliefs proudly outside of our shop— a Pride flag and a Biden / Harris flag.

“To attack us was simply unwarranted. It shocked us and made us realize how much hate there is in our country.

“More than ever, we have to come together… At MILK+T, we believe that Black Lives Matter. Women rights are human rights. No human is illegal. Science is real. Love is love, and kindness is everything.

“Even though this shook us to our core, we stand firmly on what we believe. It takes courage to stand for what you believe in, and despite everything, we have courage and hope in the good there is in the world.”
