The Weeknd was the musical guest on las night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, where he performed “Blinding Lights,” and debuted a new song called “Scared to Live” (which interpolates Elton John’s “Your Song”). He was accompanied by Oneohtrix Point Never for the latter.

The Weeknd also did some comedy sketches for the show, including his recurring “Weekend Update” appearance called “The Weeknd Update.” Abel Tesfaye also joined Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd for a musical sketch called “On the Couch.” The episode was hosted by actor Daniel Craig. Watch it all happen below.

Both Daniel Lopatin and the Weeknd were involved with the Safdie Brothers film Uncut Gems. The Weeknd appeared in the movie as himself, and Lopatin provided the score. The Weeknd’s next studio album After Hours is out March 20 via XO/Republic. It features previously-released singles “Blinding Lights,” “Heartless,” and the title track. He’ll kick off a tour behind the album in June.
