Grimes has shared the new music video for her song “Player of Games.” The visual is directed by Anton Tammi, with a story and creative direction by Grimes. In the new video, Grimes faces off against a character called the Dark King (played by Andreï Pishchalnikov); they fight each other with swords and play chess. Check it out below.

Grimes released the “Player of Games”—which she co-produced with Illangelo—earlier this month. It’s also on the soundtrack for the latest season of the video game Rocket League.

Last month, Grimes announced she had formed the AI girl group NPC, sharing a new song called “A Drug From God.” She has also appeared as a judge on the singing competition series Alter Ego. Her last album Miss Anthropocene was released in 2020.
