The Puerto Rican rapper led a troupe of dancers, some wearing papier-mâché heads and colorful skirts

Bad Bunny opened the show at the 2023 Grammy Awards tonight (February 5) in Los Angeles. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer was introduced by host Trevor Noah and led a troupe of dancers, some wearing papier-mâché heads and colorful skirts. He performed his Un Verano Sin Ti track “Despues la Playa,” while backed by a brass section and conga drummers. Check it out below.

Bad Bunny has been nominated for three Grammy Awards this year: Album of the Year (for Un Verano Sin Ti), Best Pop Solo Performance (for “Moscow Mule”), and Best Música Urbana Album (for Un Verano Sin Ti). His 2023 nominations follow two prior Grammy wins; in 2020, he won the Best Latin Pop or Urban Album for YHLQMDLG, which was followed by a 2021 win in the Best Música Urbana Album category for El Último Tour del Mundo.
