The National have shared a remix of Neu!’s song “Im Glück.” The legendary Krautrock duo of Michael Rother and the late Klaus Dinger originally released the track on their 1972 self-titled LP. “Im Glück (The National Remix)” will appear on a tribute album featured in the forthcoming Neu! 50! box set—out September 23 via Grönland. Listen to the National’s version of the song below.

Neu! 50! will include the band’s first three studio LPs—Neu!, Neu! 2!, and Neu! 75—as well as Neu! ’86 in the CD box. The tribute album will feature reworks from Mogwai, Idles, Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, Yann Tiersen, Guerilla Toss, and more. Back in June, Stephen Morris and Gabe Gurnsey shared a remix of the duo’s song “Hallogallo.” That same month, Neu! also reissued their debut album on cassette and picture disc. The group’s catalog was previously reissued in 2010.

Last week, the National shared their new single “Weird Goodbyes,” which features vocals from Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, as well as string contributions from the London Contemporary Orchestra, orchestrated by Bryce Dessner. The National issued their latest album, I Am Easy to Find, in 2019. They are currently on a North American tour that wraps up in late September.
