Raekwon Announces New Memoir

Wu-Tang Clan rapper Raekwon has announced his first memoir, as Rolling Stone points out. The Story of Raekwon is slated for publication in 2021 via Gallery Books. The memoir was co-written by Raekwon and music journalist Anthony Bozza, who has written books on Eminem and AC/DC.

In a statement viewed by Rolling Stone, Raekwon wrote that his upcoming book documents his life from “drug dealer to hip-hop godfather.” “This is my story,” he said. “From being a wide-eyed kid full of hopes and dreams, through hard times and sadness and so many situations I’m amazed I survived. This is all of it, the good, the bad, the ugly, the whole truth and nothing but.”

Raekwon recently reissued the instrumentals of his iconic solo debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. He also hopped on a remix of Teyana Taylor’s “Gonna Love Me” with his Wu-Tang associates Ghostface Killah and Method Man.
