Other Music Documentary to Be Released Via “Virtual Screenings” This Week

Music

The documentary about Other Music, the beloved New York City record store that closed in 2016, will be released through “virtual screenings” this week. The film was originally slated for a theatrical opening on April 18 and a physical release the same day for the since-postponed Record Store Day.

This Friday, April 17, it will be available to rent through the websites of independent record store and theaters, who will receive half the proceeds. Once you purchase through one of the vendors, it will be available to view for 72 hours. A full digital release will arrive at an unannounced date. Find participating record stores and theaters at Factory 25’s website.

Other Music debuted at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Members of Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, and more have appeared in previously released clips.
