New York black metal artist Liturgy and avant-garde pop duo LEYA have shared a new collaborative track. It’s called “Antigone.” The single was originally shared in an interview the artists did with Paper magazine. Listen to “Antigone” below, and read the full interview here.
“Antigone” marks the first new release from Liturgy since Hunter Hunt-Hendrix came out as transgender in May. “We recorded the song in late February before 2020 got so insane,” Hunt-Hendrix told Paper of the new single. She added:
Liturgy’s last studio album was 2019’s H.A.Q.Q., which followed 2015’s The Ark Work. Between LPs, Hunt-Hendrix debuted her multi-disciplinary opera Origin of the Alimonies and released the a joint project with M. Lamar called Funeral Doom Spiritual.
LEYA’s most recent release Flood Dream arrived earlier this year.
