Deradoorian is delaying the release of her new album Find the Sun. The Los Angeles–based artist’s LP, originally set to arrive May 22, will now get released on September 18 (via ANTI-). Along with the postponement announcement, Deradoorian has shared a new song “Monk’s Robes.” Find it below.
In a press release, Deradoorian said of her new track: “I’ve heard so many people say ‘I want to escape to the mountain and live alone because life is so fucking painful sometimes.’ And that’s not really the way to do it either. You need to be isolated, you need to learn about yourself, but you can’t really stay there. You also need to integrate. You need to do both.”
Deradoorian released her solo debut The Expanding Flower Planet in 2015. She followed the LP with Eternal Recurrence in 2017.
