A$AP Rocky has released a new song that features Jessica Pratt. He really has. The track is called “Highjack.” Listen to it below.

Greg Kurstin, Hitkidd, Jordan Patrick, and Zach Fogarty co-produced “Highjack.” The song also has background vocals from Creed B Good and Jon Batiste.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, A$AP Rocky discussed working with Pratt and Batiste. “I just love alternative,” the rapper said. “I love just different sounds and whatnot. [Jessica Pratt] kind of gave me this kind of Portishead meets Stevie Nicks vibe a little bit. Right. So I always fucked with her as a artist, and so I figured it was necessary to get her, Jon Batiste on this one and kind of make it feel soulful to bring it on home in the outro.”

Jessica Pratt returned earlier this year with Here in the Pitch, her first album since 2019’s Quiet Signs. In between albums, Troye Sivan sampled Pratt’s On Your Own Love Again single “Back, Baby” for his Something to Give Each Other song “Can’t Go Back, Baby.” Commenting on the sample, Pratt said, in 2023, “‘Back, Baby’ was recorded to a cassette tape in a tiny bedroom 10 years ago, so it was really unexpected to get a request from him. Like everybody else, I find Troye to be irresistible.”

A$AP Rocky is readying the release of his long-teased album Don’t Be Dumb, which is due out August 30. “Highjack” follows a handful of recent Rocky tracks, including “D.M.B.,” “Shittin’ Me,” “Same Problems?,” and “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n).”
