‘The Marvels’, ‘Hunger Games’ Prequel Most Want-To-See In Fandango Fall Poll

Online movie ticket retailer Fandango dropped their Most Anticipated Fall & Horror Movie Survey this AM with Disney’s The Marvels and Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes leading the list. Both respectively hit cinemas on Nov. 10 and 17. With Dune: Part Two out of the way on Nov. 4, you’d think someone would move up their blockbuster and take advantage of another week of Imax.

Fandango surveyed 2,000 participants. Here’s their lists:

Most Anticipated Fall Movies:

  1. The Marvels (Nov. 10)
  2. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (Nov. 17)
  3. The Equalizer 3 (Sept. 1)
  4. A Haunting in Venice (Sept. 15)
  5. Killers of the Flower Moon (Oct. 20)
  6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 (Sept 8)
  7. The Expendables 4 (Sept. 22)
  8. The Exorcist: Believer (Oct. 6)

  1. Hercule Poirot Movies 
  2. The Equalizer (that pic already opened to $42M over the 4-day Labor Day frame)
  3. My Big Fat Greek Wedding

  5. The Exorcist

Most Anticipated Main Characters: 

  1. Carol Danvers (Brie Larson in The Marvels)
  2. Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh in A Haunting in Venice
  3. Robert McCall (Denzel Washington in The Equalizer 3)
  4. Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani in The Marvels)
  5. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris in The Marvels)

Most Anticipated Supporting Characters: 

  1. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson in The Marvels)
  2. Joyce Reynolds (Michelle Yeoh in A Haunting in Venice
  3. Casca Highbottom (Peter Dinklage in Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes)
  4. W. S. Hamilton (Brendan Fraser in Killers of the Flower Moon)
  5. Acteur (Dakota Fanning in The Equalizer 3

Fandango also learned that 96% of those surveyed plan on seeing at least one horror movie on Halloween, and 78% claimed they watch between one to six horror movies every month.
