“Press play and stay” is how Netflix’s Lat Am content boss characterized the streamer’s programing strategy as he unveiled sneak peeks of two of the most anticipated TV series out of the region ever, 100 Years of Solitude and Senna, along with first-looks at the Vinicius Junior movie and some new shows.

Paco Ramos, VP of Content, Lat-Am was speaking at an international Netflix event in LA, hosted by Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer.

As well as preview videos of 100 Years of Solitude and Senna, the streamer announced a second season of Chilean drama Baby Bandito. The first season of the crime drama topped Netflix’s global chart for non-English-language shows for three weeks.

Also out of Chile is Limpia, a new film based on the Alia Trabucco Zerán novel of the same name. Dominga Sotomayor (Los barcos) writes and directs. Gabriela Larralde (El Presidente) is co-writer on the film, which is now in production. The story follows Estela, who leaves her family in rural Chile to work at a family home in Santiago de Chile.

Netfix has also greenlit Parque Lezama from Argentine television and film director Juan José Campanella (The Secret in Their Eyes) and based on the play of the same name.

100 Years of Solitude drops on Netflix on December 11. The adaptation of García Márquez’s classic novel will be split across two eight-episode seasons and the new video reveals more about the series, one of the biggest ever out of Latin America. The same is true of Senna, about the life of iconic Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna.

Netflix’s Ramos recently clued Deadline into the streamer’s strategy in Lat-Am. He said that in 100 Years of Solitude, Senna, and The Eternaut, a sci-fi series out of Argentina, the streamer has placed three huge global bets on content from the region.

Finally, Netflix unveiled pics of global soccer superstar Vinicius Junior for upcoming doc feature Vini Jr. about the Brazilian Real Madrid player, which can be seen below. Netflix has been pushing further into the sports doc space and Vinicius is one of the highest profile to be given the feature treatment.
