One more title just got added to the desert that is Q1 2024 and that’s Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions romantic comedy Scrambled on Feb. 2, which made its world premiere at SXSW.

Directed by, written by, and starring Leah McKendrick, Scrambled follows Nellie Robinson (McKendrick), a broke, single 34-year-old, fresh off a breakup, who faces down an existential crisis when she decides to freeze her eggs. Ego Nwodim (SNL, Love Life), Andrew Santino (Dave), Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption, John Wick 4, Dexter: New Blood), Laura Cerón (Station 19, ER), Adam Rodriguez (Magic Mike, Criminal Minds), Yvonne Strahovski (Handmaid’s Tale), and June Diane Raphael (Grace and Frankie, Long Shot) are part of the ensemble cast.

McKendrick told Deadline’s Matt Grobar earlier this year that “Scrambled was inspired by the real trials and tribulations of being a single, 34-year-old woman freezing her eggs. My goal was to make a film as awkward, messy, raw, confronting, and ultimately empowering as the experience itself.”

Scrambled notched an 86% fresh Rotten Tomatoes critics rating out of SXSW. The movie will open against Apple Original Films Argylle from filmmaker Matthew Vaughn on Feb. 2.
