EXCLUSIVE: WME‘s ex-corporate strategy SVP has joined the board of Insanity, the UK agency that reps the likes of Maya Jama.

Laura Edwards will become a Non-Executive Director at the London shop following five years in New York with WME, which she exited several months back. During her time at WME she worked across M&A, talent and global strategy. She used to work for Adidas and previously ran a consultancy in London and New York.

At Insanity, Edwards will join the agency’s leadership team and contribute to board meetings. Insanity recently achieved B-Corp certification, defined as “businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.”

Insanity reps UK stars including Jama, Mollie King, Adam Pearson and Zara McDermott. The outfit recently hired a digital boss for its production arm, Edd Buckley, who has worked across some of the UK’s biggest entertainment shows.

Andy Varley, the founder of Insanity Group, said Edwards’ “immense experience in scaling global media and talent businesses is a perfect fit for Insanity’s next phase of growth.” “She has an exceptional track record of driving international expansion and strategic development, and we are excited about the invaluable insights and expertise she brings to the table,” he added.

Edwards said: “I am delighted to join Insanity’s Board, and what is one of the most impressive leadership teams I have met. The team at Insanity are redefining what it means to represent talent.”
