After leaks, delays and the small matter of a global pandemic, RuPaul is back on the BBC with Drag Race UK season two.
The queen of drag has gathered 12 brand-spanking new queens from across Britain, who’ll be put through their paces with Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton on hand to judge.
As our review of the first episode makes clear, the season two queens aren’t here to play. They’ve upped the glamour, studied the game and are ready to make this a season to remember.
What time is Drag Race UK out?
Set your alarm clocks – 7pm is official Drag Race UK time for the next 10 weeks.
The first episode of the eagerly-anticipated new season will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from 7pm on Thursday (14 January).
New episodes will follow on subsequent Thursdays. The entire first season is also available to watch on the service.
How to watch Drag Race UK season two in the US.
American fans – fear not! Drag Race UK season two is streaming in the US on WOW Presents Plus, with the premiere available at the same time as the it is in the UK.
Episodes will be made available every Thursday, beginning 14 January, at 2pm ET/11am PT.
So what’s the tea on season two?
Drag Race UK season two kicks off “Bring Back My Queens”, which sees the 12 hopefuls thrown into the deep-end with a Wimbledon-themed mini challenge and a double runway maxi challenge.
Elizabeth Hurley is the season’s first guest judge, with later episodes set to welcome Sheridan Smith, MNEK, Lorraine Kelly and more.
Half-way through the season, the BBC will release a lockdown special showing what happened when the queens were forced to evacuate the werk room.
As the pandemic hit Britain, production was paused for about five months. Judge Alan Carr has revealed that in that time, some queens set about improving their skillset to match the high standards seen on the runway.
