Rihanna and Fenty Beauty have dropped a new ketchup-themed makeup line that’s left fans divided.
Yes really, Fenty Beauty is releasing a palette filled with six sachets that could contain either ketchup or lip gloss, and people have some questions.
The beauty brand has teamed up with art collective MSCHF on the limited edition palette that will set you back $25.
It’s not available from the Fenty Beauty website, instead fans can buy the unique palette from ketchupormakeup.com.

The brand revealed the new line with an Instagram post that they simply captioned: “New drop with @mschf. Ketchup or makeup?”.
The post sees one slide feature a model applying ketchup to her lips with a chip (obviously) and the second applying lip gloss, while the third slide shows what the ‘Ketchup or Makeup’ palette looks like.
It’s safe to say fans were divided by the makeup line/art project, with one writing: “I’m sorry but who wants to spend $25 to end up getting ketchup packets.”
Somebody else joked: “Is Rihanna still on maternity leave… who signed off?”
One fan wanted to know the practicality of lip gloss sachets, asking: “Are the packets resealable if it is gloss? I have so many questions.”
Others were a little more in favour, with one saying, “okay marketing” alongside the heart eye emoji and another said, “this is fire”.
While another mentioned Rihanna’s long-awaited ninth album, commenting: “Literally everything but music.”
The beauty brand have teamed up with art collective MSCHF for the unique range, who’ve previously worked with the likes of Lil Nas X.
MSCHF teamed up with the rapper on his controversial “Satan shoes”, which saw each of the 666 pairs include a drop of real human blood.
The shoes were Nike Air Max 97s, and they were customised with human blood and hellish themes.
Nike was quick to distance itself from the shoes, telling CNN that it had not been involved in creating the shoes and that it has no relationship with either the rapper or MSCHF.
“Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them,” Nike said.
