It’s officially a new year, which means it’s time to grab some music tickets and get your gig calendar filled up for 2022.
There are plenty of tours already announced including Olivia Rodrigo’s first ever UK dates, Elton John’s farewell tour and the return of ABBA.
From huge summer stadium shows to intimate gigs, you can get tickets to the biggest names and rising stars in music throughout 2022.
We’ve put together a list of some of the best music tours taking place this year, when you can catch them and how to get tickets.

Elton John
When: 15 June, 2022 – 18 June, 2023

Elton John is heading back out on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour this year, giving fans one last chance to see the Rocket Man live before he retires from touring.
When announcing the tour he said: “I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.”
He’s kicking off the tour in summer 2022, with stadium dates planned for Norwich, Liverpool, Sunderland, Bristol, London, Swansea, Cork and Watford. Then next year he’ll finally perform his rescheduled arena shows with an incredible nine nights planned at London’s O2.
Olivia Rodrigo
When: 29 June – 2 July

Olivia Rodrigo is heading out on the Sour Tour this year, marking her debut headline shows and it’s safe to say tickets have been in high demand.
More than 30,000 people were attempting to get tickets for venues with a 3,000 capacity – and Olivia was right, it really is Brutal out here.
If you missed out there’s still a chance to get tickets in the run-up to the tour, with resale tickets. You can sign up to alerts with Ticketmaster’s fan-to-fan resale platform, See Tickets’ equivalent, as well as Twickets. Just sign up using your email and you’ll be notified when tickets are posted by fans who can no longer attend the concert.
You won’t be charged hiked prices as the tickets can only be posted at face value or less but they will be snapped up quickly, so check your email regularly.
ABBA
When: 27 May – 4 December

ABBA are back and fans can see them live throughout 2022, well sort of.
The ABBA Voyage show will see the group, Benny, Björn, Anni-Frid and Agnetha transformed into avatars of their younger selves alongside a live band to perform their hits.
They will perform their greatest hits during the show alongside new songs including single “I Still Have Faith In You” from their recent record-breaking album Voyage.
In a statement the group say the show is “a concert that combines the old and new, the young and not-so-young. A concert that has brought all four of us together again.”
It will take place in London at a specially designed ABBA arena between May and December 2022.
Little Mix
When: 9 April – 14 May

This year fans can catch Little Mix live on their Confetti Tour before the group takes a hiatus.
In late 2021 they announced the extended break to “recharge and work on some other projects”, much to the dismay of fans. However they’ve promised that they’ll be back for more, writing that “Little Mix is forever” in their statement.
They’re headlining a number of arena shows in the UK and Ireland throughout April and May, in support of their album Confetti and recent greatest hits collection, Between Us.
So fans can expect to hear hits “Sweet Melody”, “Shout Out to My Ex”, “Touch”, “Power” and “DNA”.
My Chemical Romance
When: 19-25 May

My Chemical Romance originally announced three headline shows at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes which were set to take place in 2020.
It would’ve marked their live return but the shows were forced to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. They’re now taking place in May 2022 alongside extra dates in Warrington, Cardiff, Glasgow and Dublin.
It will be their first tour in six years and fans can expect to hear their greatest hits on the reunion tour including “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”, “Teenagers”, “I Don’t Love You”, “Helena” and “Welcome to the Black Parade”.
Dua Lipa
When: 15 April – 3 May

After being rescheduled a number of times, Dua Lipa will finally tour her Future Nostalgia album in spring 2022.
The disco-infused album became the soundtrack to many people’s lockdown, in particular the gays.
It features hits including “Levitating”, “Don’t Start Now” and “Physical” and became one of the biggest albums of 2020 and 2021.
The headline arena tour will stop off at venues across the UK with Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London on the schedule.
RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq the World
When: 19 May – 1 June

The stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race will tour across the UK this year as part of Werq the World.
The lineup features season 13’s finalists Rosé and Gottmik, season 11 and 12 winners Yvie Oddly and Jaida Essence Hall and Asia O’Hara, Miss Vanjie and Plastique Tiara.
They will be joined by judge Michelle Visage who will host the tour, which sees the queens perform for thousands of fans in solo and group performances.
It will visit eight venues in May and June, including arenas, marking the biggest Werq the World tour dates ever.
Pet Shop Boys
When: 20 May – 22 June

Pet Shop Boys are heading out on their first ever greatest hits tour – Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live.
The legendary duo, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will perform headline arena dates across the UK, including London, Manchester, Glasgow and Cardiff.
Fans can expect to hear the likes of “Always on My Mind”, “Go West”, “West End Girls” and “It’s a Sin” during the show, as well as material from their new album Hotspot.
The album features a collaboration with Olly Alexander, who also covered their track “It’s a Sin” alongside Elton John at the BRIT Awards and appeared in the hit TV series of the same name.
Years & Years
When: 19-28 May

Speaking of Olly Alexander, he will also be touring the UK in 2022 as Years & Years.
It will be in support of the upcoming album Night Call, which marks the first Years & Years album as a solo project from Alexander.
In a statement the group wrote: “This upcoming new album has been an Olly endeavour and we’ve decided that Years and Years will continue as an Olly solo project. The three of us are still good friends. Mikey will be part of the Y&Y family and play with us live and Emre will focus on being a writer/producer.”
The album features singles “Crave” and “Starstruck”, the latter of which features Kylie Minogue on a remix version.
Olly will tour the album in Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Brighton and London this May.
Celine Dion

Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour will stop off at arena across the UK in May and June.
The tour was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the iconic singer telling fans: “I promise we’re going to make up for all that lost time in 2022.”
The tour is in support of her 12th English-language studio album Courage. It kicked off in late 2019 with the setlist featuring her iconic hits “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, “I’m Alive”, “All by Myself” and of course “My Heart Will Go On”.
So fans are in for a treat when the tour finally arrives in the UK this year.
Diana Ross
When: 10 June – 6 July

Another legendary performer making her way to the UK in 2022 is Diana Ross.
The Thank You Tour is in support of the icon’s recently released album of the same name and will also see her perform her greatest hits.
The tour will stop off at arenas in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow for headline shows, as well as festival slots in Cambridge, Lancashire and Cardiff.
Fans can expect to hear “I’m Coming Out”, “Upside Down” and “Endless Love” alongside tracks from The Supremes’ back catalogue.
Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish is bringing her Happier Than Ever, The World Tour to arenas across the UK in 2022.
It’s in support of her number one album of the same name, which features the title track, “NDA”, “Your Power” and “Therefore I Am”.
She’ll perform dates in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Belfast and Dublin, with six dates planned for London’s O2 Arena. Meanwhile support will come from Arlo Parks, Girl in Red, Jessie Reyez and Jungle across various dates.
Shawn Mendes
When: 21 April – 4 May

In spring 2022 Shawn Mendes will bring his Wonder World Tour to the UK.
This includes dates in London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester, with support coming from King Princess.
He will perform songs from his latest album Wonder, which features the title track and “Monster” as well as fan-favourite hits.
Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette will celebrate 25 years of her iconic album Jagged Little Pill with a headline UK arena tour in 2022.
After being postponed due to the pandemic, the singer-songwriter will perform tracks from the album in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
The 1995 album features songs including “Ironic”, “Hand in My Pocket”, “All I Really Want” and “You Oughta Know”.
Since its release the LP has become one of the best-selling albums of all time, received five Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and inspired a Broadway musical.
It’s also influenced a host of artists including Avril Lavigne, Pink, Katy Perry, Shakira and Taylor Swift to name a few.
HAIM
When: 28 June – 21 July

HAIM are touring their acclaimed third album Women in Music Pt. III this summer, and a HAIM tour during the summer months doesn’t really get any better.
They’ll bring the LA vibes with tracks “Summer Girl”, “Don’t Wanna”, “Now I’m In It” from the LP alongside their back catalogue.
It’ll see them perform in Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham, London, Leeds and Glasgow, including a number of arena dates which mark their biggest headline shows ever in the UK.
Charli XCX
When: 13-23 May

Charli XCX will perform her biggest headline UK and Ireland shows to date in 2022
She will perform in Manchester, Glasgow, Norwich, Birmingham, Sheffield and Nottingham, as well as London’s Alexandra Palace.
The tour is in support of her upcoming fifth studio album Crash, which is set for release on 18 March.
It features singles “Good Ones”, “New Shapes”, a collaboration with Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek and an upcoming track with Rina Sawayama.
Lorde
When: 25 May – 28 June

She’s kind of like a prettier Jesus, and she’s touring the UK and Ireland this May and June.
Lorde will bring her Solar Power album to venues this summer, which features tracks “Mood Ring”, “Stoned at the Nail Salon” and “Fallen Fruit”.

Conan Gray

Described as “the pop prince for sad internet teens” by Teen Vogue, Conan Gray will perform dates in London, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham this summer.
It’s expected to be in support of a new album or EP, after dropping singles “Overdrive”, “Astronomy”, “People Watching” and “Telepath” throughout 2021.
His 2022 tour will mark his biggest headline shows to date in the UK and will see support come from Mallrat.
Sigrid
When: 13-18 March

Sigrid is heading out on a UK and Ireland tour in early 2022.
The singer-songwriter will perform some of her biggest shows to date, including London’s Wembley Arena.
It’ll be in support of new music, with tracks “Mirror” and “Burning Bridges” having been released in 2021 and an upcoming collaboration with Griff arriving soon.
Other dates include Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. She’ll then return in the summer for festival slots at the likes of Isle of Wight and TRNSMT.
Avril Lavigne

Another must-have ticket for 2022 is Avril Lavigne’s Head Above Water Tour. She’ll perform new tracks including “Bite Me” as well as iconic hits from her back catalogue like “Sk8r Boi”, “Complicated” and “Girlfriend”.
The singer is marking her live return with four UK headline dates in Manchester and London.
They’ve pretty much sold-out but there is still a way to bag some tickets. Similar to other shows on the list, you can sign up to Ticketmaster, See Tickets and Twickets for alerts notifying when resale tickets are listed.

Girl in red

Girl in red is headlining dates in Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and London as part of her 2022 tour.
It’s in support of her debut album If I Could Make It Go Quiet, which was released in 2021 and features singles “Serotonin”, “You Stupid B***h” and “Body and Mind”
The album was created in lockdown in 2020 but she promised she wasn’t “going to make any coronavirus songs” in an interview with NME.
Similar to Avril Lavigne and Olivia Rodrigo, these tickets have proven to be popular, so if you want to get your hands on some you’ll have to try resale tickets on Ticketmaster and Twickets.
Coldplay
When: 12-24 August

Coldplay are headlining eight stadium shows in 2022 in support of their album Music of the Spheres.
The tour will see them perform “sustainable and low-carbon” shows, with six nights scheduled at Wembley Stadium and two at Hampden Park.
These hot music tickets were snapped up in late 2021 when they were released, but there’s still some availability across all dates on the tour.
