Megyn Kelly slams soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe as “rabid, angry lesbian” in unhinged tirade

Right-wing commentator and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly went on a homophobic rampage against out former professional soccer player, Megan Rapinoe, after she criticized the USA Men’s Hockey team for visiting the White House and oggling over the president.

“The nerve of this extremely homely woman to call these guys clowns,” Kelly ranted. “She’s jealous. She’s full of hatred for anyone whose a white male. She’s like a rabid, angry lesbian.”

Kelly then accused Rapinoe of hypocrisy since her team visited President Barack Obama in the White House after their 2015 World Cup victory.

“It’s only controversial when it’s President Trump, you see. She is jealous that they are in the spotlight and she’s not. In fact, she’s loathed by more than half the country, unlike these guys, who are beloved. And she can’t see straight. She wants it taken away from them and she feels powerless to do it because she is. Enjoy your bitter, bitter life.”

Kelly proudly posted the clip on her social media, emphasizing that Rapinoe is “jealous” that the team is in the spotlight and that she should enjoy her “bitter life.”

In February, Kelly went viral for an epic tantrum she threw over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance during an interview with Piers Morgan. Kelly declared that the Puerto Rican Grammy winner performing in Spanish was “a middle finger to the rest of America.”

“Football, that kind of football is ours!” she yelled, presumably referring to white people. “They call it American football.”

She also made a bizarre declaration that everything around football should be “good old-fashioned American apple pie.”

“There should be a meatloaf. Maybe some fried chicken, and an English-speaking performer. That’s what the Super Bowl should be.”

On the other hand, Rapinoe, an Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup champion, has long been an activist for women and LGBTQ+ people. She has fought for trans equality in sports and abortion rights, and she was part of the U.S. Women’s National Team’s historic (and successful) battle for equal pay.

In a 2023 speech at the Time Women of the Year Gala, she thanked the trans community and said she is “only here because of them.”

“Look at what trans people have given us,” she said. “It’s just an opportunity to live a whole life and to be a whole person, whatever that may mean to you. There’s so much expansion, just for myself that has happened in the last three or four or five years because of trans people, because of the relationships I have with trans people… and just the perspective that I have and what I’ve been given by them, not just our support to them but the way that they refuse to live their lives any other way than completely whole is so inspiring. I’m so thankful for the invitation to be my entire self.”
