Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is hearing things — all wrong.

The rhetorical bomb thrower and U.S. Congresswoman from Georgia claimed on Wednesday that Kamala Harris compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and even said that such a comparison would get Trump killed.

Fact check: wrong.

In a statement delivered from the steps of the vice president’s residence in Washington, Harris reacted to an interview Trump’s former Chief of Staff John Kelly gave to The New York Times yesterday, once again recounting Trump’s admiration for the Nazi dictator.

Harris was grave in her assessment of Trump’s words.

“It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans. All of this is further evidence for the American people of who Donald Trump really is.”

Maybe Greene doesn’t understand the definition of “invoke.” Maybe her earbuds were wet when she was listening to Harris’ statement while working out and watching Fox News. Maybe she’s just lying.

On X, Greene wrote, “Vice President Kamala Harris is desperate, dangerous, and lying about President Trump. Kamala Harris just compared him to Hitler. She is going to get him killed.”

Kelly has spoken of Trump’s admiration for Hitler before, saying that over the course of his two-year tenure in the White House Trump repeatedly said, “Hitler did a lot of good things.”

He also stated flat out that Trump is following in the steps of the Nazi strongman.

“He certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure,” Kelly said.

Harris zeroed in on the former president’s envy for “generals like Adolf Hitler had,” as recounted by Kelly.

“Donald Trump said that because he does not want a military that is loyal to the United States Constitution. He wants a military that is loyal to him. He wants a military who will be loyal to him personally, one that will obey his orders, even when he tells them to break the law or abandon their oath to the Constitution of the United States.”

“This is a window into who Donald Trump really is, from the people who know him best, from the people who worked with him side-by-side in the Oval Office, and in the Situation Room,” she said.

“Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged and unstable. And in a second term, people like John Kelly would not be there to be the guardrails against his propensities and his actions. Those who once tried to stop him from pursuing his worst impulses would no longer be there, and no longer be there to rein him in.”

“So the bottom line is this: we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power. The question in 13 days will be: what do the American people want?”

Harris thanked the assembled press and didn’t take any questions.
