Start your engines, hold on to your wigs and prepare to slay – a RuPaul’s Drag Race video game is on the way this year.

The free-to-play mobile game will allow players to participate in Drag Race, design fabulous lewks for runway challenges, and kiki with their favourite drag queens including Mama Ru herself. Now you too can be the next drag superstar.

Players will be taken inside “iconic moments from the series”, with fan-favourite queens making limited time appearances.

Developed by East Side Games, the game is part of a multi-year partnership between parent company Leaf Mobile and Drag Race producers World of Wonder.

The partnership includes the rights for RuPaul’s Drag Race, All Stars, and Untucked, so expect recreations of moments from any and all parts of the show.

“The team at World of Wonder is always looking for new ways to bring the Drag Race experience even closer to fans, and what better way than through a mobile game,” said World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. “We are thrilled to partner with East Side Games on this charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent-filled mobile game experience!”

Leaf is a leading mobile developer in Canada, with experience on both original games and licensed games, like Archer and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

“We are excited for the opportunity to bring the Emmy Award-winning competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race, to mobile in partnership with World of Wonder,” said Darcy Taylor, chief executive officer of Leaf. “The franchise perfectly aligns with our group’s values of inclusivity and we couldn’t be prouder to bring the first big budget LGTBQ mobile game experience to audiences everywhere.”

The game is set for global release on iOS and Android later this year. To find out more about the game, you can sign up on the website.
