The new trailer for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 has dropped – and alongside a teased plot twist, there’s going to be some rather unexpected guests.
In the first-look footage of the Paramount+ show which dropped Tuesday (8 June), the “mother of all twists” for the thumping 13 queens taking to the Werk Room was teased.
“This season of All Stars is going to be a game within a game,” RuPaul reveals in the trailer.
Jan says that she’s simply “gagged” by the gameplay shake-up, while elsewhere the trailer shows the queens crying, clashing and strutting on the runway.
But RuPaul does introduce an unknown queen to the stage, before the trailer, of course, cuts out. Keeping her identity shrouded in mystery.
Ahead of the two-episode premiere on 24 June, a whole constellation of stars have been confirmed as guest judges or special guest spots, ranging from Charli XCX to Miss Piggy, with some making blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearances in the trailer.
Joining RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews and Carson Kressley on the panel: Aisha Tyler, Big Freedia, Charli XCX, Emma Roberts, Jamal Sims, Justin Simien, Tia Mowry, Zaldy and Tina Knowles-Lawson.
Yes, that Tina Knowles-Lawson, otherwise known as the literal mother of Beyoncé. “It was right on point,” she quips in the trailer.
While gracing the Werk Room between the jaw-dropping stunts and fierce presentations: Alec Mapa, Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Fortune Feimster, Jermaine Fowler, Tanya Tucker and Miss Piggy.
When it comes to the teased twist to the show’s years-long format, not much is known. Eureka says the rule change will mean the “girls are out for blood” while Jiggly Caliente: “Relationships are going to have to come into play!”
And in a press release for the new season, the network promises the “mother of all twists” for it.
The 13 queens, some of whom are vying for the crown for the third time, are all competing to win $100,000 and to be inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 will air weekly on Paramount+, CBS’ streaming service, with instalments of Untucked following each episode.
