Enough… is never enough.

The late Larry Cohen tackled American marketing and consumerism with 1985’s The Stuff, centered on a dessert sensation that begins consuming the consumers. The film has been released to home video at various different points over the years, most recently on Blu-ray by Arrow Video, but it seems a never-before-seen version of the movie is also lurking out there.

The Denver Film team just tweeted about the surprising find today, noting that they “made a remarkable discovery while looking through the 35mm reel of The Stuff.”

The tweet continues, “The print came from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences and is actually the Director’s Cut with 30 extra minutes of footage not found anywhere else.”

Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
