‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ – Here’s Your First Look at Olwen Fouéré as Sally Hardesty in the New Netflix Movie!

Horror

Late last year, Netflix made the surprise announcement that the Fede Alvarez-produced Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original classic, will be slicing its way onto the streaming service on February 18, 2022, and we’ve since been provided with a teaser trailer and a couple of images. Today brings a new image, and it’s particularly exciting.

The new movie is a decades-later sequel only to Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with actress Olwen Fouéré (Mandy) taking over the iconic role of Sally Hardesty from the late Marilyn Burns. Courtesy of USA Today, preview Sally’s return below!

Here’s the full official synopsis for the new movie…

“After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.”

“Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.”

Mark Burnham (Lowlife) is Leatherface.

David Blue Garcia (Tejano) directed the movie for Legendary, which was written by Chris Thomas Devlin and filmed last year. The film is a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original classic.

Alvarez is producing with Bad Hombre’s Rodolfo Sayagues, alongside Kim Henkel (co-writer of the 1974 film), Ian Henkel and Pat Cassidy, who are producing via their Exurbia Films.
