New Extended Gameplay Trailer Released for ‘Evil West’ Sinks Its Teeth Into the Action [Video]

Horror

Revealed back in June at the Puppet Combo Direct, Jordan King’s first-person Survival Horror experience Night At the Gates of Hell will finally arrive September 15 on Steam after a delay from its original August release.

From the sick, depraved, itch, tasty, and rotten mind who brought you Bloodwash (read our review here) comes Night At the Gates of Hell. Inspired by Italian zombie films (namely Lucio Fulci), PS1-era gore, and sweat-drenched neon disco, Night At the Gates of Hell is described as “a tense, deliberate combat experience (with) zombies (that are) slow and menacing”. But just because they’re slow and manacing, doesn’t mean you can shirk your level of accuracy and nerve. These zombies – true to form – will require precise headshots to take down.

The story for Night At the Gates of Hell centres on David, a quiet, recently widowed man, who just so happens to be stuck in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Players will be tasked with collecting weapons, meeting up with other survivors, and fighting for truth and survival by gunning and slashing through hordes of zombies. To escape the city, players will need to solve puzzles, hunt for resources and, of course, kill zombies – which as mentioned, can only be eliminated with a shot directly to the head.

Sporting those PS1 styled low-poly graphics you’ve come to expect from these throwback titles, Night At the Gates of Hell will also be fully voice-acted, and features a “70’s inspired disco soundtrack”.
